The Paddy Patty
Ingredients
For the Burger Sauce
- 3 tbsp of mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp of ketchup
- 2 tsp of mustard
- A dash of worcershire sauce
- 1 tbsp of chopped pickles
For everything else
- 1 white onion
- 2 burger buns
- 500 g of ground beef
- 4 slices of American cheese
- 2 pickles
- 4 rashers of bacon
Instructions
- Slice the white onions and add to a frying pan with veg oil. Season with salt and pepper and cook for 10 minutes. They should be sweet, soft and starting to caramelise. Remove from the pan and keep warm.
- Weigh each patty to 110g and ball them up. Preheat your frying pan on a high heat.
- Fry your bacon in veg oil. Once they are golden remove from the pan.
- Place your burgers in the frying pan and use your spatula to smash them down flat. Season with salt and pepper and leave to cook for a few minutes until the meat has caramelised and you have developed a crust.
- Flip the burgers and add the slices of cheese on top and let the cheese melt.
- Toast your buns under a grill.
- Time to assemble: to the bottom bun add your burger sauce, followed with the double patty, topped with grilled onions, pickles and bacon.
- Enjoy!
