Steak Sandwich
Servings: 1 person
Ingredients
- 1 steak
- 1 ciabatta roll
- Handful of rocket
- Mayonnaise
- Horseradish sauce
- 1 onion
Instructions
- Take your steak out of the fridge at least 30 minutes before you plan to cook it.
- Season it generously with salt and preheat your frying pan on a high heat.
- Once the pan is smoking add a few tablespoons of vegetable oil and add your steak.
- For a medium rare steak, cook for 2 minutes on each side and then remove from the pan to rest.
- Finely slice your onion and add it into the pan. Season with salt and cook for 5 minutes.
- In the meantime, slice your ciabatta bread in half and toast.
- For the horseradish mayonnaise, simply mix the mayo with a touch of horseradish sauce. Taste and season and set aside.
- Once the bread is toasted and the onions are caramelised it’s time to build.
- Spread on the mayonnaise on both sides of the bread. Top with steak, following up with the onions and garnish with some rocket. Place the lid on and you’re done.
